1000 Days for the Planet exhibition
Enter a world filled with a myriad of colours and perfumes to appreciate the diversity offered by plants from all around the world. The Montréal Botanical Garden, a Space for Life, is a must visit for nature lovers and also to treat yourself to a walk through its ten greenhouses and thirty splendid gardens. And this year, an extraordinary event will be dropping anchor, as the Botanical Garden has set up the Base Camp for the 1000 Days for the Planet expedition, a committed, unique, outstanding exhibition.

Follow the adventure

Jean Lemire and his crew are on board the Sedna IV for a trip around the world so they can explore the life that inhabits our planet. Throughout the duration of the mission, you can follow the 1000 Days for the Planet expedition on a daily basis, because the expedition's Base Camp is located at the Botanical Garden. You can talk "directly" with the crew every day.

Space for Life science interpreters will actively participate in this expedition each day. They will maintain this privileged link with the Base Camp to give you all the details and tell you all about their observations. You will have the opportunity to see them at work, share their experiences, and discover their passions and their quests.

Just like being there

1000 Days for the Planet exhibition

The Base Camp experience is something like a long walk in nature where you see biodiversity from all sorts of unusual and concrete angles. On site, you can have lots of fun playing with and looking at the interactive installations, videos, artifacts, and the very current scientific content.

The Base Camp is also an extraordinary fusion of science and thrills. You will enjoy an original, immersive, and changing experience that bears witness to the biodiversity of our planet.
