Matane - Baie-Comeau – Godbout Ferry
 |
This summer, travel in an original, economic, and relaxing way with the Société des traversiers du Québec. Come on board one of the eleven ferry boats or two maritime services on the St. Lawrence River. You will enjoy some splendid scenery and save some kilometers off your travel route.
Enter the heart of maritime Québec
Are the wide open spaces of the Bas Saint-Laurent region, the Côte-Nord region, and the Gaspésie region calling out to you, while their distances discourage you? Take the Matane - Baie-Comeau – Godbout ferry and you will avoid a road trip of 900 km from one region to the other. For approximately two hours, on board the N.M. Camille-Marcoux, you will enjoy food and beverage services, a lounge area, a boutique, and much more. This pleasant experience will give you the impression that you are discovering the sea!
Experience refreshing getaways
Do you like to travel by car, motorcycle or bike? Extend your getaway by crossing the river towards new attractions such as those in Lanaudière and Montérégie, connected by the Sorel-Tracy – Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola ferry, or those of the Québec region and Chaudière-Appalaches region, connected by the Québec – Lévis ferry. These ferries, partners in the Route Verte, allow you to cross to the other shore in 10 minutes. Just enough time for a refreshing break between two magnificent cycling paths. On board the ferries, you will find bike racks, beverages and snacks, a thematic exhibition, and a great view of the river.

Another choice destination in Charlevoix, Isle-aux-Coudres, is accessible by ferry. A memorable visit to the island awaits you. You will be delighted by the warm welcome of the islanders. But half the fun is getting there on board a ferry, of course!
In June, take a ferry to the Festival de la Chanson de Tadoussac
From June 14 - 17, take advantage of the frequent 24-hour ferry service to cross over for the Festival de la Chanson de Tadoussac or for your vacation in the region. This ferry allows you to admire the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, with the largest estuary in the world.
