It’s still summer, and museums offer a string of suggestions for sharing unforgettable moments with your family while enjoying great weather! Grandiose sights teeming with history and magic, Quebec’s museums have a great variety of cultural and natural treasures to reveal. Get ready for astonishing outdoor discoveries.

Here are some ideas for summer outings!

A Change of Scenery and Hands-On Experiences for the Family

At the Centre de la Biodiversité du Québec in Bécancour, come meet mysterious creatures like snakes, turtles and racoons in a natural setting where you can see and even touch them !

At the Aquarium du Québec, you can look forward to touring the new pavilion that presents the world of seahorses and jellyfish. You can even caress rays in the touch basin! The Aquarium also has a d’Arbre en arbre circuit especially designed for children 6 to 12 years old. Completely wild!

Introduce your children to art with the multiplatform exhibition at Université de Montréal’s exhibition centre. Discover works of art and remarkable artists for free and pick from six circuits found outdoors or at the different pavilions on campus.

Museums and Their Shows!

Virtual Show at the Garden of Glaciers

Head to the Glacier Exploration Centre at the Garden of the Glaciers for a spectacular virtual expedition. It will dive you into the heart of the world of glaciers and climate change. On site, make the most of your stay and check out the fascinating Nature Zone with its lakes, canyons and famous striae. Wow!

In Mauricie, at the Cité de l’énergie, a grandiose show is given at dusk at the astonishing outdoor, revolving amphitheatre! A most whimsical experience in the company of the famous character Amos Daragon.

Finally, until November 4, the Biodôme is presenting TrOmbe, a head-spinning, multisensory experience by Richard Purdy. Umbrella in hand, you can walk under a shower of summer rain with a forest of pine trees suspended overhead! A unique, educational activity.
