This exciting festival offers 50 performances of a dozen indoor shows, featuring more than 500 artists and artisans, and a free outdoor show Où tu vas quand tu dors en marchant…? (Where do you go when you sleepwalk...?) that attracts 100,000 people every year. From May 23 to June 8, 2024, Québec City is the place to be as it celebrates theatre in a big way!A program rich in diversity and discoveries Introspective, entertaining, inclusive and plural, the 24th edition of the Carrefour international de théâtre offers a program of performing arts that will nourish your soul. From immersive multidisciplinary experiences to revisited classics, comedy and socially engaged theatre pieces, these shows promise to amaze you. A noteworthy example is Cabaret Noir: a bouquet of music, theatre and choreography that questions, claims and celebrates the Black Condition. A one-of-a-kind walk-through show An original creation by local artists from various disciplines, Où tu vas quand tu dors en marchant…? (translated as: Where do you go when you sleepwalk...?) is a unique experience that will captivate you, make you dream and laugh. Wander through four exciting universes that combine theatre, circus, music, architecture and visual arts. For the next two years, this experience will take place at the site around ExpoCité Among them, you will discover the Woupelaï universe and its travelling troupe of freaks, ready to entertain you with swaggering music in a setting complete with multicolored bunting. A free show to enjoy with family and friends! Inclusive, budget-friendly pricing The mission of the Carrefour international de théâtre is to bring you closer to the artists and their creations.
