Ateliers Plein Soleil - Weaving Economuseum

Located in Mont-Joli, the Ateliers Plein Soleil Weaving Economuseum will provide you with an opportunity to discover the traditional art of weaving. This craft has been practised in workshops at Ateliers Plein Soleil since 1972. In the same location, you can also visit the interpretation centre, which features a new exhibition every year. The boutique has everything you could wish for with its beautiful, unique array of dish towels, place mats and tablecloths, and other original creations such as coats and knitted garments. In addition to bringing together people with different artisanal and weaving know-how, the founder of Ateliers Plein Soleil, Thérèse Beaulieu-Roy, has always had a marked interest for preserving regional heritage. She has collected an impressive number of objects from the beginning of the 20th century and put together an exhibition that highlights what daily regional life was like in years past.
