Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean
Situated on the shore of the Pekuakami in Lac-Saint-jean, the Pekuakamiulnuatsh invite you to discover the only aboriginal community in the region. Mashteuiatsh, Quebec Firsts Nations millennium meeting place, was created in 1856 by the government of Canada. Sleep in a welcoming bed & breakfast and then go for a walk along the promenade to the Uashassihtsh, Cultural Transmission Site. The art shops will show you the richness of this living culture and you will be able to exchange with the craftspersons about their traditions and their hand-crafted manufacturing method. The Museum will confirm you our ancestors know-how by its exhibitions. A stop to the Carrefour d’accueil Ilnu will help you find the necessary information to make your stay unforgettable.
