Standing between the shores of Montréal and Laval, the Rivière-des-Prairies Generating Station is one of the oldest Hydro-Québec stations. This visit will allow you to review the station’s history from 1928 until today and you’ll get to see the turbine pit and spillway. You’re sure to be impressed by the water’s raw power! While you're there, why not take advantage of the recreational facilities? Stretch your legs on the bike path or walking trail on the Montréal shore or go fishing off the specially built platform, on the other side of the river in Laval.
