The Châteaux de sable des Îles is a must-see sandcastle contest in the Îles de la Madeleine that has now been held for more than 25 years. Teams of adults, families and children build sandcastles on the magnificent Sandy Hook beach, in Havre-Aubert on the Îles de la Madeleine! Each team must build a castle made only with sand and water. With 500 builders and 10,000 visitors, this is the largest amateur sandcastle contest in the world! On site: terroir products, music, shows, entertainment and makeup for children. There are also recreational vehicles and tent sites available for the duration of the event. White sand, salty water, small and large hands, and smiles… a perfect recipe for summer happiness at the Îles de la Madeleine!
