From February 11 to 19, 2017, Repentigny, less than an hour from Montréal, gets in a festive mood. Families are invited to take part in the 17th edition of the Festival Feu et Glace at the magnificent Parc de l’Île-Lebel on the river. Meet the colourful mascot Atashtatuk (whose name sounds like the French for "hold on to your hat”) and enjoy the many activities. Access to the site is free, as well as public transportation provided by the RTCR network. This year will also feature not just one but two fireworks displays, on Saturday February 11 and 18 at 8 p.m.

A pass for unlimited fun

Festival-goers will be happy to know that the activity pass, created at last year’s festival, is back this year! Valid for the duration of the Festival Feu et Glace, the pass is the best way to enjoy all of the activities, such as the poney rides, the carriage rides, tubing, the Ferris wheel, the inflatable games and the brand new Bombardier snowcat rides! The pass also gives holders a $5 discount on helicopter rides. And until February 10, you can get the pass at the presale price!

Even more activities!

Plenty of the activities are free, including the alpaca farm (new!), snowscooting, the snow park, the zipline, the snowshoeing trail, the skating rink and more, as well as the shows presented on the Loto-Québec stage.

The Festival’s auction is also back for a second year. Taking place from January 19 to February 6, this auction lets you purchase items at a fraction of their price, and in turn you will be helping to finance the Festival.

Culture is showcased at the Festival

This year, festival-goers can stop by the Centre à Nous, located a few steps from the main site, to have a coffee break and warm up a bit. The Centre will be projecting animated films by the National Film Board continuously for families to enjoy.

As part of the festival, the Centre d’art Diane-Dufresne gallery invites festival-goers to discover the art exhibition, workshops, arts and crafts for families as well as story-telling (Sunday February 19 at 10 a.m. – registration required). All of it is free!
