The 150 years of composer Claude Debussy will be celebrated in grand style. To highlight his French heritage, a series of concerts will present the best works by Debussy as well as by Ravel, Poulenc, Dukas, Franck, and Saint-Saëns. The Impressionist movement will also have pride of place as the most beautiful works by Brahms and Mozart will be interpreted for your pleasure. The Orford Arts Centre will also help you discover the work of the sadly missed Jacques Hétu, one of Canada's most famous composers.
There will be complimentary activities to enhance the programming and to help you appreciate the music from various aspects. A concert series at Lac-Brome, conferences, public master classes, exhibitions, and a ciné-club are just a few examples. This summer, discover the Orford Festival that will run until August 26.
