Imagine a vacation filled with cultural activities and exciting outdoor excursions. This dream can be a reality when you come to the Eastern Townships region. As a couple, with your family or with friends, you will find everything you need to be entertained, and to enjoy nature and the joys of summer.
Traces Is Coming to Sherbrooke!
Let yourself be swept away by a funny, touching, explosive, and poetic show. Traces, presented by the group Les 7 doigts de la main, will take you into a world where acrobatic performances, dance and theatre are all woven together. Here is a unique opportunity to see these artists in action in Sherbrooke, from July 18 to August 4, before they go back to New York.
Get your fill of music at Orford Festival
Music lovers will be delighted with the program at the Orford Festival on until August 26. The program includes a number of prestigious recitals, chamber music, orchestras, ballet, a ciné-club, as well as a sacred music series at the Abbaye Saint-Benoît-du-Lac. In addition, Kent Nagano will conduct a chamber music concert on August 7, and a public rehearsal of the Orford Academy Orchestra on August 8.

Water sports lovers will have a field day on the Memphrémagog, Mégantic, and Aylmer lakes. You can explore them by kayak, canoe, sailboat, or on water skis. Take advantage of hot days to relax and refresh yourself on the beach. There are beaches in both country and urban settings.
If you really want to enjoy nature, you can find a wide variety of outdoor activities and camping sites in the region. Choose your corner of paradise in one of the four national parks or in one of the several private or municipal outdoor recreation centres.
Dive into the stars
Do you like astronomy? The Parc national du Mont-Mégantic invites you to the ASTROLab to visit the observatory and discover the cinema of the stars. The new exhibition From a Starry Sky to the Infinite Universe will let you relive the evolution of our conception of space from yesterday until today. At night, two public observatories offer you a show full of stars.
