Have you run out of ideas for adventures or don't know what to do on your vacation this summer? The Eastern Townships are full of activities for couples and families. Throughout the region are places where you can relax or even learn something new. And as Mother Nature's whims sometimes change our plans, here are some activities that can be adapted as needed.

Beat the heat

Warm days are the perfect time to have fun at the Ski Bromont Waterpark. You'll enjoy playing in the wave pool or on the waterslides. This year, the water park adds a dose of adrenaline to your visit with the new slides Les Serpents and La Tornade.

You'll have your fill of laughter at the Théâtre Juste pour Rire Bromont. Don't miss the play of the summer, Double vie, in which the main role is played by André Robitaille. Take advantage of the various theatre packages that include supper or accommodations to enjoy the complete experience. As a bonus, the theatre is air-conditioned!

Cloudy skies? No problem!

J. Armand Bombardier Museum

You can learn everything you want to know about making wool by taking a guided tour of the Ulverton Woolen Mills. Your guide will show you the still functional machines. Have a picnic outside, walk the trail or do a little sheep watching.

The Parc historique de la Poudrière de Windsor will captivate both old and young. Treat yourself to the Visite du Foreman where you will play the part of a future employee. If it starts to rain, visitors aged eight and up can enjoy the permanent exhibition and a multisensory experience.

On rainy days

The J. Armand Bombardier Museum in Valcourt traces the development of the snowmobile. You can also choose the museum/factory package which includes a visit to the BRP factory. Visits to the factory are by reservation only.

The Centre d’interprétation de l’Ardoise in Richmond is also waiting for you to discover it. If the sky clears after your visit, don't miss taking a tour of the village on foot or in your car with the audio guide to admire the slate-roofed houses.
