Decidedly, the Eastern Townships are full of wonderful surprises that will make any family, or couple, happy!

Taste summer in the Townships

The Eastern Township region is a veritable gourmet feast. This year, the Chefs créateurs network is added to the Créateurs de saveurs Cantons-de-l’Est brand and the Cafés de village to triple your pleasure. It brings together 20 restaurants whose chefs are passionate about the local products that they prepare. Simply look for the logo that identifies them and go in to discover typical Township flavours.

Take off on a getaway filled with discoveries and gourmet food. New "vélo gourmand" bike routes have been added, including a trail on the Wine Route. What a wonderful way to enjoy the magnificent landscape of the Townships. On the road, you will come across some Cafés de village where you can enjoy a delicious stop!

Throughout the summer, visit the 17 wineries that make up the Wine Route. This year, two new vineyards are added to the route: the Vignoble Centaure and the Château de cartes, both located in Dunham.

Discover the depths of the Townships

L’Épopée de Capelton

Would you like to visit a 140-year-old mine? The Épopée de Capelton (Capelton epic) in North Hatley will take you to the depths of the mine, enlivened by several activities for the whole family. Your children will love playing prospector and will have a lot of fun on the aerial adventure route.

Several other mines and interpretation centres will help you discover the rich mining history of the Eastern Townships. The interpretation centre of the gold mine in Chartierville and the Mine Cristal in Bonsecours are good examples. As the temperature is around nine degrees underground, visiting a mine is an excellent way to escape the heat!
