Saint-Zotique beach
Very close to Montréal, in the far southwest of Quebec, is a region surrounded by the St. Lawrence River. The Suroît runs on both sides of the river and has enough lakes and rivers to keep people who love water sports happy. From Lac Saint-Louis to Lac Saint-François, through the Old Beauharnois Canal, the Soulanges Canal, and the Châteauguay River, you can discover the region from on board a watercraft, on the beach, or during one of the many festive activities!

Relax on the beach

How better to defy the heat than to spend a day at the beach? You can swim, or you can wander through the hiking trails at the Parc régional des îles Saint-Timothée, which includes a play area for children and a volleyball field.  The Saint-Zotique beach also has a wading pool, a place to rent water equipment, a snack bar, and an ice cream parlour.

Boaters should add the Valleyfield Marina, often called the national boating capital, to their itinerary. It will enchant you with its country setting, and has 400 docks for boats of all types and all lengths. You also have access to the lively downtown area, welcoming terraces, charming boutiques, and many more pleasant discoveries for you to make.

Have fun and enjoy the summer

Ohneka

The Suroît region will be presenting several events and shows for you to enjoy. By the way, it's free!

Don't leave Salaberry-de Valleyfield without seeing the free show Ohneka This unique multimedia water theatre will present choreographed fountains, lights, and projections on a giant water screen. Enjoy a wonderful evening from Thursday to Saturday at 9:30 p.m. from July 19 to September 1.
