Let yourself be charmed by the authentic region of Lotbinière that is alive with outdoor activities and breathtaking landscapes. Located in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, only 25 minutes from the bridges of Québec, this region offers a lot of choice things to do this summer.

Enjoy nature

Cyclists will be delighted to get on their bikes and travel whichever of the 11 trails available that inspires them the most. The new Navigators' Route will take you to the villages of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly and Lotbinière.

New this year, the Domaine du Radar welcomes you to a former military base converted into an outdoor recreational area. The hiking and mountain biking trails will take you to beautiful lookouts on the St. Lawrence River and in the Appalachian and Laurentian Mountains. You can also reserve a guided tour of the remains of the military structures. There are primitive camping sites and accommodations in tourist residences that you will find delightful.

The Parc de la chute Sainte-Agathe is the perfect place for a nature walk. There you will discover a covered bridge and a foot bridge overlooking the waters of the Palmer River. In addition to primitive camping, it is the ideal site for a fun filled family day. Don't forget to bring your picnic basket!

Have a little culture with your nature

You are welcome to enjoy the gardens of the Domaine Joly-De Lotbinière with its more than 2200 varieties of plants, its trails made for slow rambling, and its access to the river. Take a tour of the mid-19th built-century summer manor house to learn more about its history.

The Moulin du Portage is another little heritage jewel found in the region. The former flour mill has an exhibition of old photos in this place that has been converted to a concert hall. Located on a peninsula, it is an ideal spot for a picnic or to undertake an outing along one of the Chêne River hiking trails. It offers magnificent landscapes worthy of the Lotbinière region along all its 4.5 kilometres.
