Montréal Chamber Music Festival

The 2012 edition of the Montréal Chamber Music Festival will be held from May 10 to June 2, 2012! Your visit to Montréal won’t be complete until you’ve heard the fabulous soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian or the fantastic violin performance given by James Ehnes. The Jubilation Gospel Choir will also be here for this edition, as well as Bach’s cello suites with Colin Carr, as well as Mozart and Tchaikovsky! The TD Jazz series will feature Sylvain Luc and Alain Caron, an evening of gypsy jazz in the company of Angelo Debarre and his quartet, the surprising pianist Eldar Djangirov with his trio and much more. The programme also includes all Shostakovich’s string quartets. All performances take place at the superb St. George’s Church, which has outstanding acoustics and is easily accessible on foot, by car or metro.
