The Carrousel international du film de Rimouski and its Festival international de cinéma jeunesse is a cultural, non-profit organization whose mission is to offer cinematic education and moving image activities to render international youth cinema accessible to those 4 to 17 years old. Created in Rimouski in 1983--the oldest film festival for young people in North America--the festival is a true school of observation. Thousands of young people and now many adults have learned to read images and sharpen their critical skills, allowing them to become accomplished film buffs.
