GardenQuebec’s numerous gardens provide an opportunity for unforgettable tours in an environment where many multicoloured flowers abound. The reputation of several of these gardens extends beyond the provinces’ borders, such as in the case of the Montréal Botanical Garden, one of the largest gardens in the world. Outside of Montréal, many large cities such as Laval, Québec and Gatineau are home to numerous flowered oases perfect for walks and picnics. Almost everywhere in Quebec, you can visit exceptional gardens, related to sumptuous historic residences, whether homes of political figures or sites preferred by the English Canadian and American bourgeoisie. For example, the Jardins de Métis/Reford Gardens, located in the Gaspésie region, and the Mackenzie King Estate, located in the Outaouais region, are magnificent destinations where visitors can combine floral and heritage discoveries. Finally, the Quebec Gardens’ Association invites flower lovers to discover the multitude of Quebec gardens that are open to the public.
