The Laurentians region always promises visitors great adventures. This destination is perfect for enjoying outdoor activities… even in winter! To double your pleasure with family or friends, a flurry of activities and events are offered so you can have a great time, right up through spring.

Celebrating Winter in a Thousand and One Ways

Festi-Neige Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts invites you to come sled on magic carpets, skate on Lake Sables or play hockey with friends. Different themes are presented every weekend so you can partake in light-hearted fun. The site is open from Thursday to Monday until March 10 and… it’s free!

Hop over to Saint-Placide on February 17 and 18. Festi-Vent sur glace will surely astonish you with its multitude of kites filling the sky with a thousand and one colours.

Taming the Night While Skiing or Snowshoeing

Parc national du Mont-Tremblant features a discovery activity for you to enjoy on January 21 and 28: Owls, Snowshoeing and Chocolate. On the agenda, a multimedia presentation, chocolate fondue and snowshoe outings under the stars. Make sure to reserve in advance.

Parc national d'Oka

Until March 10, Parc national d’Oka will be offering Snowshoeing at Calvaire d’Oka. From 7:30 to 9 p.m., a naturalist park warden will take you out to discover nocturnal activity in the park. An activity available on Fridays and Saturdays; advance reservations are required.

Experiencing Winter Fully!

On January 21 and 28, Ski de Fond Laurentides will present the Coupe des Fondeurs. This is a major event for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The races are held on the trails of the Fondeurs Laurentides club, located at the Notre-Dame community centre in Saint-Jérôme.

The Canadian Ski Marathon awaits you on February 11 and 12. Register for this two-day event that covers 160 kilometres (99 miles) between Lachute and Gatineau. It provides access to private properties, only accessible for this event. The great flexibility of the marathon makes it possible to participate according to your skill level and means.
