Arbraska Rawdon
When I feel the need to cut loose and go a little wild, I take to the trees in the aerial herbertism park at Arbraska in Rawdon. The first time I tried this type of attraction, it was at this spot and I recently returned with a friend who knew nothing about this activity before I mentioned it. The games had changed since my first visit, and several new ones awaited me. Here is a quick round-up of a few of my great memories of that day.

"It's My First Time… You Do What!?"

I remember that the first time I visited Arbraska Rawdon, I was fascinated by this new activity that had just come to Quebec. My inexperienced friend was first of all worried that he might not be in good enough shape to go off and conquer the forest. The guide's clear, detailed explanations when we arrived automatically reassured all the nervous types and reminded the more experienced ones of the basics.

Easy, Intermediate, Expert and… Extreme!

Then we were off! There are increasing levels of difficulty, so you can choose the course that suits you in terms of agility… and courage. As I have vertigo, it is always a challenge for me to hold onto a line several feet in the air or to manoeuvre the pulley to go at full speed across the zip lines.

But, still, I've completed a course at each level and even two extreme courses that took a lot of nerve for me, but that my friend really liked. They are much higher than the others and the games demanded a lot of effort, but it's really worth it!

Me Marie, You Tarzan!

Arbraska Rawdon

Without doubt, the best part of the day was when, between two courses, we tried the Tarzan rope. You jump from a platform, towards the large vertical net that faces it, attached to a line. After hooking myself onto the Tarzan rope, I jumped (after only a few moments' hesitation…)! The activity is fast, but you get an adrenaline rush and the fun is guaranteed!

Don't miss:

  • The adapted courses for the little ones
  • The two extreme level courses, one of which has a climbing wall
  • The big zip line that goes down for several seconds
  • The Tarzan rope
  • The friendly guides who are always smiling and ready to help you
