The Eastern Townships invites you to enjoy a number of activities during the summer season. The Townships guarantees you wonderful times with your family or friends, whether you plan to see some shows, have fun on the water, or just relax in a country setting. This multifaceted region will hold you spellbound!
Shows
In downtown Sherbrooke, Omaterra, the big water show, is playing again this summer. The cast has changed a bit, and new numbers have been added. The Centre culturel de l’Université de Sherbrooke is presenting the popular humourist Lise Dion with her new show on Fridays and Saturdays, starting July 9.
Make a Splash on the Water

Summer is synonymous with water sports, and the Eastern Townships region hasn’t escaped this fascination with fun on the water. You’ll find kayaks, canoes, pedalos and sailboats for rent in a number of outdoor centres in the Townships.
If you like the water, you may enjoy taking a cruise. New this year, the boat Le Grand Cru from Escapades Memphrémagog awaits you for an impressive gastronomic journey on the majestic waters of Lake Memphrémagog.
The joys of summer also combine sand and bathing. The region invites you to relax on its many beaches, located in natural surroundings or near urban centres.
Have a Good Time…
Summer is the season to just relax. Sipping a glass of rosé or a local beer on one of the many terraces in the Townships is a wonderful way to enjoy summer. The Cafés de village all have beautiful terraces, ideal for enjoying the season and local products. They are located both in picturesque villages and in lively urban neighbourhoods.
Picnic lovers aren’t left out as there are many lovely country spots to discover. Why not try a picnic composed of regional products? Look for quality products with “Créateurs de Saveurs” on the label: cheese, wine, chocolate, garden produce, deli meats… Discover all the culinary delights the Townships have to offer!
