Reford Gardens

Celebrating 50 years of being open to the public, Reford Gardens, a national historic site of Canada located in Gaspésie, welcomes you to visit horticultural arrangements designed in the spirit of collector gardens from the 19th century. Some 3,000 species and varieties of plants, including the famous Himalayan blue poppy, can be found in some 15 gardens. The Estevan Lodge, which will celebrate its 125th anniversary, is presenting a permanent exhibition on the summer stays of Elsie Reford (who designed the garden from 1926 to 1958) and her family. New this year: Elsie’s vegetable garden and a museum of gardening tools. The 13th edition of the International Garden Festival will feature London city designers and present some twenty contemporary ephemeral gardens. To fully savour your visit, you are invited to taste the bounty of horticulture in the dining room, at one of the cafés or with a range of transformed products, perfect to take home in your suitcase.
