Located at the very heart of the Quartier Latin, just a jump, hop and skip away from the Berri-UQAM metro station, the Cinémathèque québécoise is Montréal’s museum of the moving image. It aims to protect and share the world’s audiovisual heritage with collection, conservation, documentation and interpretation activities. One-of-a-kind in North America, the institution has a rich and varied program: screenings for all interests and colourful exhibitions. Winner of many architecture prizes, the Cinémathèque is home to the documentation centre Médiathèque Guy-L.-Coté, a Café-Bar and a terrace as well as rental spaces (rooms, halls and auditoriums) that can be adapted to suit events of all kinds.
