Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean

The Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean, an open water swimming marathon covering 32 km between Péribonka and Roberval, is held annually on the last Saturday in July. Some 25 male and female swimmers from a dozen countries participate in this cult event, which requires an average of 7 hours of effort. Join thousands of spectators at the Roberval Wharf to give these great athletes a warm welcome! Moving and spectacular finishes! Also, take advantage of the many free or budget-friendly family activities offered, including shows and fireworks by the majestic lake, kid’s day, exhibitions, a parade starring the swimmers and ultra safe competitions for amateur open water swimmers (1, 2, 5 km and Defi Plouf).
