Laval is an astonishing and dynamic city. Only 20 minutes from downtown Montréal and accessible by metro, the city offers visitors an array of interesting activities that ideally combine nature’s delights with urban escapades. Third largest city in Quebec, Laval stands out with its green spaces that cover 47% of the area. Many outdoor activities are offered year-round at the Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles and at the Centre de la nature. Countless discoveries can be made at the Cosmodôme Space Science Centre or at the Armand-Frappier Museum. A few neighbourhoods are still reminiscent of yesteryear’s charm, and strolls through Old Sainte-Rose or Old Sainte-Dorothée always remain pleasant outings where gastronomy often takes the spotlight. As for a shopping spree with flair, Laval is the perfect place to go thanks to lifestyle centres such as Centropolis. Displaying Laval’s “green” side, many gardens and agritourism farms invite visitors for product sampling and fruit picking. The beautiful Route des Fleurs (Flower Route) is also a great way to discover the bucolic side of Laval.
