Old Montréal Extravaganza is a month of continuous events, entirely devoted to end-of-the-year celebrations, held in more than 20 sites, in a magical, illuminated décor. Old Montréal Extravaganza includes outdoor Christmas choirs at Place Jacques-Cartier and indoor choirs at the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, carriage rides, route of nativity scene, outdoor cinema, foreign Christmas traditions as well as gourmet routes. During Old Montreal Extravaganza, you can also hear stories told, make your own old-fashioned brioche, discover who the real Santa Claus is with a Father Christmas exhibit, a Victorian Christmas and enjoy many activities in December on the Quays of the Old Port. This festival closes with the Big New Year's open-air Grand Ball at Place Jacques-Cartier and a great fireworks show.
