The
Battle of the Châteauguay National Historic Site is commemorating the 200-year anniversary of the battle of October 26, 1813. This feat of arms of the War of 1812-1814 between the United States and England, took place here, on the shores of the Châteauguay River, in Allan’s Corners. The interpretation centre welcomes you to discover the battle’s heroes and strategies, as well as the living conditions of soldiers. VAlso, you can explore the marked circuit of the Châteauguay battlefield on bike or by car. This year’s program includes special events such as Canada Day (July 1), historical re-enactments and period encampment (October 5 and 6), as well as commemoration activities for the Battle of the Châteauguay (October 26).
