Louis S. St. Laurent National Historic Site

Located in Compton, in the Eastern Townships, some 20 km (12 mi) from Sherbrooke, the Louis S. St. Laurent National Historic Site of Canada is a living reminder of the life and work of the former Prime Minister of Canada. Discover rural life at the beginning of the 20th century and the birth place of the former Prime Minister with an authentic general store, the house where the Prime Minister was born and a multimedia show. Every Sunday in July and August, enjoy the garden-side “St-Laurent puts on its Sunday best!” where you can participate in activities such as concerts, culinary experiences and more. Don't miss the Weekend with a Country Flavor the first weekend of August. Come and savour gourmet tidbits prepared especially for you, by regional chefs and producers.
