L’Internationale de chiens de traîneaux Lanaudière
Since 2004, dogsledding races have been attracting crowds that get bigger every year in L'Épiphanie, thanks to the Internationale de chiens de traîneaux Lanaudière! Held during the third weekend of January every winter, the Internationale de chiens de traîneaux Lanaudière groups more than 100 teams, mostly from Québec, the United States and the Maritimes, into three categories. This is the most prestigious competition of its kind held near Montréal and features the best prize in Quebec! Race departures and arrivals take place in the heart of the city, just across from the Guy-Melançon community centre and Parc Donald-Bricault. Dozens of outdoor and indoor activities complete the event, providing fun for the whole family for an entertaining weekend.
