Have Fun with Clowns at Festi Jazz International de Rimouski
 |
If you think jazz isn’t for children, think again! You are just a few kilometres from discovering a most welcoming jazz festival: Festi Jazz International de Rimouski! This 27th edition, which will be held from August 30 to September 2, promises an exciting program for the whole family. Most of the shows will be presented under the Québecor marquee and at La Coudée café of the Cégep de Rimouski. Among the musicians performing, take note of several Quebec musicians known internationally, including Alexandre Côté Quintet, Sylvain Provost and the band Spectrum3.
On September 1 and 2, it’s family time at Place Festi Jazz and in the streets of Rimouski. Clowns, buskers, make-up and shows will ensure your children have fun with Clopin Lanouille and Monsieur Noro, among others. There will also be craft workshops offered so children can make music instruments. I went to this festival a few years ago and this year’s program gives me the urge to go back with my family and tap my foot!
