Plains of Abraham
The site of confrontation between the French and British Empires (1759-1760), this prestigious urban park, the plains of Abraham, was created in 1908. The Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham (835 Wilfrid-Laurier, level 0) welcomes visitors year-round and presents Odyssey multimedia exhibition, a virtual journey from the birth of New France to the park's creation through the famous battles. Also, bus tours of the park, gardens, Martello Towers, free outdoor concerts, pirates exhibition, animated trial, Halloween, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, field guns, interpretation panels and commemoratives plaques strew the 103 hectares of woods and gardens in the park. Reservations required for groups.
