The mission of the ECONOMUSEUM Network is to showcase traditional trades and know-how, in order to offer the public an innovative cultural tourism product. The Société ÉCONOMUSÉE du Québec has been mandated to develop ECONOMUSEUM in Quebec. An ECONOMUSEUM is a certified craft or agri-food business whose quality products are the result of an authentic, traditional technique or know-how. The business provides a dynamic environment that showcases true artisans, by providing a place where production according to a patented concept created and carried out by professionals is explained and demonstrated. The artisan opens his/her workshop to the public, so visitors can learn in an interactive, authentic and unique environment. All 35 of Quebec's ECONOMUSEUM's have a boutique where recognized, quality products are sold. Production always takes place on site.
