Fall and apples go hand in hand!

Verger Labonté, located off-island west of Montréal, is the ideal spot for a day of family fun. About twenty organic varieties of apples are there to be picked and the three corn mazes provide the setting for educational treasure hunts. You can also pick pumpkins, visit the little farm or take a ride on the tractor, but above all be sure to grab a few apple muffins, which are baked daily!

A quintessential gourmet destination, Verger Le Gros Pierre appeals to apple-pickers of all ages! At the heart of the orchard of 8,000 trees, there are more than 20 varieties. Enjoy a ride on the tractor and take a walk on the apple interpretation trail; you’ll also love the patio overlooking the superb Coaticook Valley.

An autumn trip to Île d’Orléans across the bridge from Québec City wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Domaine Steinbach, one of Quebec’s most beautiful orchards. Sample cider as you admire the incredible view of the St. Lawrence River and mountains. Depending on the seasons, visitors can explore the orchard, savour terroir products and enjoy a revitalizing walk in countryside settings.

A bouquet of colours and flavours

In Chambly, a magnificent place for families to visit is Ferme Guyon. This pedagogical farm lets visitors get up close to adorable animals, step into the wonderful butterfly farm populated with 500 insects flying freely. You’ll also discover a multitude of horticultural and agricultural products made on site or locally.

As early as August, Kiosque chez Forget invites visitors to explore the corn maze, which is both fun and educational. In September, you can pick your own squashes and pumpkins as well as the lesser-known autumn raspberries. In addition to succulent sweet corn, this kiosk sells delicious homemade products, like pies, jams and marinades. A lovely family destination in Laval!
