This winter, take your family out for a day
in Saint-Calixte in the Lanaudière region. On a two-hour outdoor
walk, meet all the animals at this refuge – some 400 of them! - from
Quebec and Canada and elsewhere (born in captivity). Passionate
guides offer you a memorable moment, and one that’s delightfully

carefully observe lions, kangaroos, zebras, tigers, wolves, and many
other animals that are endangered or in need of loving care from
Familizoo’s qualified staff.
Familizoo is open 7 days a week, all year
round, so any reason is a good one to visit: Spring Break, a day
when the kids are out of school, a spontaneous adventure, or for a
weekend of furry (and feathery and scaley) fun!
Familizoo is a safe and welcoming space for
animals who need a human hand – for example, those with injuries,
weight, or vision problems. At this shelter, they receive the care
they need to help them life their best lives. In fact, Familizoo's
mission is to ensure a healthy home for all animal species in their
care, as most of them cannot be released back into the wild.
Familizoo is also committed to helping the general public learn
