During a one-hour visit, your guide will let you explore the wonderful aspects of this noble building and explain the role of the Governor General of Canada. This activity is great no matter the weather and doesn’t cost a penny. Just check the schedule online to see when the tours are and if a reservation is required.

Get an incredible view of the fireworks from the terrace

August 2017 is gearing up to be especially festive in Québec City! The Grands Feux fireworks show is back with a bang and will be based on the theme of dance. Disco, traditional music, country, hip-hop, ballroom and Latin are all genres that will inspire the six nights of fireworks that are sure to delight crowds of all ages. These shows will take place on Wednesday August 2, 9, 16 and 23 as well as Saturday August 12 and 19.

Getting an unobstructed view of the fireworks can be a challenge with so many tourists in the Old Québec City area. Reserve your place on the terrace at the Citadelle’s Residence of the Governor General, which can accommodate up to 100 people, by filling out the form online.

The visit starts at 8:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin around 10 p.m. Places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis starting July 4.
