This summer come see the biggest train collection in Canada at Exporail! Visit this Canadian Railway Museum in Saint-Constant on the south shore of Montreal and see what it was like to travel by train back in the day. You can also climb aboard the train cars in the Grand Gallery in the Angus Pavilion, including the ten new vehicles. Throughout your visit you’ll learn more about the importance of railway transportation in the history of Canada and explore new avenues for the future.

A thousand and one adventures await!

The Exporail museum is known not only for its exhibitions, but also for its fun educational activities! Among the things to see are the demonstrations of the turntable bridge in action, how telegraphy works and the return of the John Molson steam locomotive. Families will love climbing on board the streetcar and taking a ride on the miniature train or a passenger train. For the next activity, it’s movie time! Rocky Mountain Express propels audiences on a steam train journey through the breathtaking vistas of the Canadian Rockies on the nation’s first transcontinental railway. There’s also The Red Rocket, a short film about the Toronto streetcars. And to raise awareness about safety around railways, the museum offers the Rail Smart Rally, an activity designed for children ages 8 to 12 and their parents.
