Have a blast on the skating rink at the Old Port!

Head over to the Old Port of Montreal to bask in a winter wonderland on your skates! Whether you want to stretch your legs on your own, with the whole family or with friends, there's something for everyone. The refrigerated skating rink of the Old Port of Montreal is now open (and will be open all the way until March 5) and promises an electrifying atmosphere. Skaters will see that it is more than possible to make the most of winter in the heart of the city!

Weekends that will get you moving!

Weekends are amazing at the skating rink! Fridays: check out the DJ on Ice Series and skate to the sounds of DJs including Steph Belfort, Milton Clark, and Lady Oracle. On Live-Show Saturdays, enjoy musical performances and groove to the sounds of Latin, world music and electro lounge beats! Artists such as violinist Marc Angers and Mexican singer-songwriter Mamselle Ruiz will take you into their musical worlds while you enjoy a skate. And then there’s the Family Sundays Series! The little ones will be able to have their faces painted and play broomball. In addition, there will be outdoor karaoke, skating shows and retro music for the older kids.

And if you go on weekdays, you’ll be able to skate to music too. Check out the programming schedule.

A lively place to go!

Outdoor winter sports go hand in hand with hot drinks! After a few laps around the rink, warm up at the Bonsecours Pavilion or grab a bite to eat at the bistro next to the Grand Roue de Montréal Ferris Wheel. There’s also lots of fun to be had on site.

Bring your own skates… or not!

If you don't have a pair of skates, don't worry! You can rent some on site. Also available for rent are helmets and skating aids to help your children move around freely and safely on the rink. Lockers are provided free of charge, but don't forget your lock (or you can rent one). Get your skates sharpened before you hit the rink for optimal skating conditions.
