Bring an old toy to the museum and
transform it during this special holiday activity, held from
December 22, 2018 to January 6, 2019. This activity is inspired by
the first project of Joseph-Armand Bombardier: a miniature
locomotive powered by a clock's mechanism. Follow in his footsteps
and build your own toy out of the old one you've brought with you
and other items you'll find in the box provided to you. The idea is simple: take
apart, imagine and create!
Many interactive devices are at your
disposal during your visit so you can see what it would be like to
become the star of a Ski-Doo® snowmobile ad, pilot a Bombardier
CSeries jet and design and test a vehicle of the future at the
Idea Studio. Witness the destiny of J. Armand Bombardier at the Passion
as a Way of Life exhibition as well as the rise of the
Bombardier company thanks to the A Passion for Success
multimedia show produced by Moment Factory.
Don’t forget to stop by the
award-winning exhibition Inspiring NATURE, Inspired TECHNO:
biomimicry & transport. This exhibition commended for
its innovation looks at how nature inspires some of the
technologies used in transportation. Discover some thirty natural
specimens and technological objects that share common principles
and manipulate interactive displays that highlight these concepts.
The museum also offers 20-minute
guided tours of its reserve at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The tour gives visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the museum and
features one-of-a-kind vehicles, some of which come from the
Joseph Armand Bombardier industries. Tours are intended for
visitors who are 8 years of age or older, with a maximum of 10
people allowed per tour.
