Planning a fun-filled day that’s a treat for the whole family couldn’t be easier! Set your sights on the Plains of Abraham in Québec City. Its program of summer activities includes free concerts, a guided tour by lantern light and even a mystery to solve! You could also relax and find a spot to have a picnic or take a stroll on the trails lined with interpretation panels and striking views.

Explore the museum of the Plains of Abraham

Before starting your day, stop by the Museum of the Plains of Abraham. You’ll find all the information you need about activities and services. Take some time to visit the exhibitions full of historical objects to examine and artifacts to admire. From July 2 to September 2, 2019, admission to the museum includes passes to the Battles 1759-1760, Identities and Attention! exhibitions as well as a pass for the Abraham’s Bus guided tour. And here’s a little insider tip: on July 1, admission to the museum is free!

Can you solve the enigma of the Tormentor?

A multigenerational mystery has been lingering around the Martello 4 Tower since the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. Investigators are wanted to take part in the The Tormentor escape game to help solve the enigma! Form a group and work together to find clues hidden throughout the three floors of the tower. Book your spot at one of the times available: Wednesday to Sunday between July 17 and October 14 or Monday September 2 or October 14, 2019.

Evenings are magical on the Plains

The Open Air Musical Evenings are returning to the Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand with an exceptional program of 25 free and diverse shows. It’s all happening from Thursday to Sunday between June 16 and August 11, 2019 at 8 p.m. There’s also the Québec by Lantern Light activity that lets participants see what it was like to be a newly arrived settler in 1847. Departures in English are at 7:30 p.m. and you’ll meet an assortment of characters along the way. This original activity is suitable for visitors ages 13 and over and available from August 1 to September 1, 2019. Don’t forget to reserve in advance!
