Noctambule at the Granby Zoo
The sun has been shying away as the leaves
change colour and Halloween looms near. This fall, Granby Zoo
dressing up in lights and shades for Noctambule, a brand new
activity taking place in the evenings. Celebrate autumn as a
family and let the magic of a zoo at night enchant you!
A fun new
trail that engages participants
Until October 29, discover the animals of Asia and the Dinozoo
exhibition on the Noctambule
trail. It’s a fascinating nighttime activity, in the dark, that
has you following a trail that pays tribute to animals. You’ll
meet biologists who will tell you about the nocturnal habits of
the resident animals, some of which are endangered species.
Continue on to Dinozoo,
where the 21 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs are sure to give
chills to the whole family. Take a 65-million-year trip back in
time to the Prehistoric Age and marvel at these giant extinct
creatures. Lights and sound effects set the mood along the way to
create a unique magical atmosphere.
A zoo cloaked
If you prefer to go to the zoo during the daytime, Granby Zoo
welcomes visitors every weekend of October! It’s the perfect
opportunity for one last family getaway before winter rolls in.
About 15 presentations explaining the many secrets of the zoo’s
residents will be given by zookeepers. And while you’re there,
drop by the amusement park, where you can hop on the dozen-or-so
rides at no extra cost. Have a go at the bumper cars, try out the
small motorcycles and see things from above on the Ferris wheel
for an afternoon of fun and laughs!
Halloween at the zoo
If you have a soft spot for animal photography, don’t forget a
camera to capture this most entertaining show: on the last two
weekends of October, the animals will be feasting on pumpkins – a
picture-perfect sight you’ll want to hold onto!

fun both day and night!
