Until November 16, 2019, the bravest of
visitors are invited to step into the darkness in the heart of Old
Québec City. People of all ages can take part in the many activities
over an extended period on the Plains of Abraham and spend an
evening that is both fun and terrifying. Meet the ghosts of the past
and learn more about the gloomy history of the Plains and about the
characters that have left their mark on it. Celebrate Halloween well
beyond October 31 and book your spot for a frightening time!
The program of activities has been revamped
this year for even more chills! Meet up at the mysterious Martello 2
Tower for the Stories to Wake the Dead on October
18 for visitors ages 13 and over. Storytellers use their vivid
imaginations to thrill and delight! Another featured activity is the
Convinct’s Last Drink on November 7 and 8. Tavern
owner Jos Vaillancourt welcomes you to his establishment for
activities on military justice, leisure and punishment meted out to
19th century soldiers. There will also be beer sampling
on the menu!
Don’t hesitate to bring the family
along for Halloween! The Haunted
Tower is a fabulous tour on the roof of the Martello Tower
with bewitching surprises for the little ones. More daring
visitors can bravely follow the Ghoulish
Walk to see the murkier side of the Plains and hear the
obscure legends that are linked to this intriguing location. You
can also sign up for the Tales of the Bad Old Days.
Horror fans will get a kick out of the anecdotes about shameful
diseases, stolen corpses and violent deaths based on true
stories from historical records.
During the month of October, make sure to
stop by the decorated Joan of Arc Garden for a free visit. The
history of the Plains will be illustrated through mysterious
adornments and tombstones of major figures associated with the park.

spot, check out the website
