Then head up to the Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien, where the animals enjoy the freedom of vast natural habitats and where humans can get up close to nature in a real and harmonious way. Located in the region of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, the Zoo has redesigned its space to create a safe, one-way path, and welcomes visitors every day until September 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

An infinity of discoveries!

Explore the pedestrian trails (4.5 km/2.8 mi. in total) and seven distinct sectors as you come upon the animals living in their natural habitat. Hop on the popular train ride (7 km/4.3 mi.) that takes you to wide-open spaces at the heart of the Nature Trail Park, where the proximity with the animals is remarkable. Black bears, caribou, packs of wolves, bison, moose, elk, grizzly bears and many other species can be seen roaming about. A wondrous sight to behold!

An extraordinary encounter with wildlife

During your visit, you’ll discover a multitude of species from the Boreal region and from the planet’s coldest areas. See the two adorable red pandas, the sweet Japanese macaques, the majestic felines, not to mention the expressive geladas, a primate that can be seen in Canada only at this Zoo. You’ll also love the recent, impressive habitat of the magnificent polar bears. If you need a refreshing break during your visit, the water game area is ideal for cooling down. Kids and parents are sure to appreciate this feature, a welcome addition in the summer.
