While you drive along the circuit, a world of discovery reveals itself. This 2,200-acre park in the woods includes many areas where you can get out of your car, take part in activities and see many attractions.
Delve into the heart of the culture of Quebec’s 11 First Nations on this charming half-mile-long trail that surrounds the lake. After seeing the symbolic decorations at the entrance, admire the works of Algonquin artist Denis Charette, as well as the totem poles along the way. Don’t forget to stock up on carrots to give the deer!
At the beginning of the trail, stop by the trading post to warm up by the fire and have a look at the artifacts and illustrations depicting woodsmen and trappers scouring the wilderness for furs that could be used for trade with the members of the First Nations.
There are also many trails for snowshoers, and the paths bring you to other activities. See the demonstrations of a pack of wolves and learn about their social behaviour, and visit the Enchanted house, a unique sculpture that is sure to amaze you.
