National and regional parks

Anyone who wishes to enjoy the outdoors with their families are welcomed with open arms in our natural spaces, which offer a multitude of activities for all tastes and ages. Quebec has some 30 national parks, nearly 200 regional parks, 4 biosphere reserves, some 20 wildlife reserves and a wealth of natural sites. Hiking, hebertism trails, playground structures, interpretation centres, water sports, aerial courses...

These places also have a mission to protect these precious territories. In addition to offering fun, educational activities, many can provide the services of certified guides, so that visitors can enjoy their visit in a completely safe way that is respectful of nature. This is a great opportunity for kids and teens to become aware of sustainable practices and the role we all play in preserving the environment!

Wildlife observation

Keep your eyes wide open! Our forests and waterways are home to nearly 650 animal species, everything from moose to whales! All you have to do to witness this incredible biodiversity is go on an expedition with your little budding naturalists. And you don't have to go far to see Quebec's wildlife in its natural environment: it's everywhere!

Some zoos, animal shelters and aquariums are also places where you can observe our furry, winged or finned companions up close, in a way that is respectful of the animals and nature. An amazing time is guaranteed for the young and young-at-heart!

Non-traditional places to sleep

After a day in the great outdoors, it's time for a good night's sleep! Why not make your night as magical as your day? Sleep with wolves, in a tepee, a glass dome, a lighthouse or even a hobbit house: here, there are no limits! From treehouses to yurts or pods, and even traditional Indigenous dwellings, Quebec is full of non-traditional accommodations - often fully equipped - that will allow for complete immersion in nature and an experience that both kids and parents will dream about for a long time.
