Montérégie

Nicknamed Quebec's pantry, the Montérégie region is full of gourmet treasures and agritourism points of interest. You can tour it by taking the Countryman's Tour, which leads you from vineyards to cider houses over a distance of 194 km, to taste apples in all their variations. To fill up on nature and culture, continue eastward to take the Richelieu Route, which is home to two UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves, Lake St. Pierre and Mont St. Hilaire.

Eastern Townships

As the cradle of the Quebec wine industry, the Eastern Townships are known for exceptional natural settings and welcoming villages. To discover the region's great wines, there is nothing better than the Wine Route, which passes through charming villages such as Sutton, Brome and Knowlton. To soak up the multicultural heritage that has left its mark on the local architecture, follow the Townships Trail. And to admire the spectacular view from up high, take the Summit Drive, which stretches from Mont-Ham to the Parc national du Mont-Mégantic, an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Charlevoix

The region's fresh air and the landscapes straight out of a fairy tale will whet your appetite! After driving into beautiful Charlevoix, take the Flavour Trail to fill up on local delicacies and meet passionate food artisans. For outdoor enthusiasts and hikers, the Mountain Road - which includes two of the province's most beautiful national parks (Grands-Jardins and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie) - is sure to please. And if you're looking for sea-salt-scented air, head for the St. Lawrence Route, one of the most magnificent scenic stretches in North America.

Côte-Nord

Can you hear the sound of mermaids singing? They'll guide you to the Whale Route, which stretches from Tadoussac to Blanc-Sablon. On the waters of the estuary and the gulf (or with a bit of luck, from the shore!), you can spot no less than 13 species, including the majestic blue whale. It is one of the best places in the world to observe them during a memorable cruise! The region also boasts impressive lighthouses, remains of its rich maritime history, which can be admired (or visited) along the Lighthouse Trail.

Saguenay–Lac Saint-Jean

Between postcard-perfect landscapes and charming villages, the Fjord Route zigzags along both shores of the famous Saguenay Fjord. Follow the blue signs and keep your eyes wide open! Travellers who love fishing and water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding will also find hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails, two national parks and a marine park.
