Snowmobile clubs in Quebec
So many trails to explore!

In partnership with Quebec's tourism regions.

Quebec and snowmobiling are a match made in heaven! When it comes to making the most of this activity, snowmobile clubs are your allies, because no matter where you are in the province, you’re sure to be just a stone’s throw away from a trail covered by the Fédération des Clubs de Motoneigistes du Québec (FCMQ). Here are five areas particularly well-suited to a snowmobile ride that will have you dreaming of your next expedition!

Please comply with sanitary measures from the department of public health at all times so you can enjoy winter safely.

The Bas-St-Laurent region

Snowmobilers there can expect spectacular landscapes, unique villages and magnificent views of the islands and the river, not to mention abundant natural snowfall. This region is a good choice especially for those interested in one-day loop circuits. For a trail pass, check out the Club sportif populaire du Bas-Saint-Laurent.

The snow-covered peninsula

The Club de motoneigistes les sentiers blancs in Gaspésie is one of the twenty-or-so clubs in this region, where snowmobilers can enjoy impressive amounts of snow. They can follow an itinerary through the legendary Chic-Chocs mountains or make their way to the iconic Percé Rock. From this area, it is also possible to take the ferry to the Côte-Nord region for a multi-day expedition complete with beautiful views of the mountains and the sea.

The Laurentians – a must-see

Since this is where the first snowmobile club in the world was founded, it’s no surprise that the Laurentians are a fan-favourite snowmobiling destination. The region’s geographical location guarantees ideal snow conditions all around, be that near the suburbs, around Mont-Tremblant or along trails connected to outdoor centres. The Club Motoneige Laurentien inc. is a good starting point for drivers to discover the Saint-Antoine, Sainte-Sophie, Saint-Jérôme, Lafontaine and Saint-Hippolyte sectors.

Two steps from the Old City

Did you know it was possible to spend the day on a snowmobile, and then relax in the evening at a cozy hotel in Québec City? With a trail pass from the Club d’auto-neige le Sapin d’or inc., snowmobilers have access to paths that hug the rivers and lakes and where they can count on various services nearby.

In Eeyou Istchee James Bay

Although at the moment the Cree communities of this region are inaccessible to visitors, die-hard snowmobilers will definitely want to consider this destination for future trips. The Club Auto-neige Chibougamau, the 2nd northernmost club in Quebec, works hard every year to keep up more than 330 km of trails that satisfy the most demanding riders, who will love exploring the Boreal forest.
