The Landscape Interpretation Circuit - Ile d'Orleans Tourism
Take a tour of Île d'Orléans, located fifteen kilometers from Québec City, and discover the architecture, history and heritage of the charming villages along the St. Lawrence River. Real delights for the eyes, the landscapes of the island of Orléans constitute in itself an attraction impossible to circumvent. Already by accessing the bridge, we fall under the spell of this island that welcomes us in all seasons. During your visit, take the time to follow the landscape interpretation trail, consisting of 12 panels strategically located in the six villages. These panels interpret the current landscapes, while making a connection with ancient landscapes. This allows visitors to get to understand and appreciate the physical nature of the island as well as the different landscapes that have marked, and even transformed, over time, the human settlements, sometimes isolated and sometimes grouped together in villages.
