Îles-de-la-Madeleine Generating Station

The largest thermal power plant in Québec, the Îles-de-la-Madeleine generating station, opens its doors to you. It features six engines producing 11,000 kW of electricity, similar to ship engines. They run continuously to supply power to nearly 13,000 people. Come visit, discover upcoming projects, and learn all about energy on the islands. The guided tour lasts 90 minutes and is offered Monday to Friday by reservation. A photo ID is required for visitors aged 18 and over. Please arrive 15 minutes in advance. Flat, closed-toe shoes are required.
