Jean-Lesage Generating Station (Manic-2)

Formerly known as Manic-2, now called the Jean-Lesage generating station in honor of the former Premier of Québec, your visit will introduce you to a major hollow-joint gravity dam and, of course, help you become familiar with the main components of a hydroelectric facility alongside knowledgeable guides. You will also get a glimpse of a major construction project currently underway. At the Georges-Dor pavilion, you can explore an exhibition on the technology that revolutionized electricity transmission worldwide, the 735-kilovolt lines. Fascinating. Located just 20 minutes from Baie-Comeau. Important: visit the Schedule and Practical Information section on the site’s website to learn about visitor requirements.
