Cidrerie Domaine Héritage
Cidrerie Domaine Héritage
At Domaine Héritage, nearly 800 heritage apple trees—some close to a century old—grow on steep, rocky slopes, producing apples with a rich and complex character. Grown without pesticides, their juice is transformed into ciders aged in oak barrels, including the signature “Terroir” cider made from Cortland, Lobo, and McIntosh apples. The property’s turreted house, built in 1859, carries a remarkable history: it once served as a refuge for enslaved people traveling north on the Underground Railroad and later as a signal point for smugglers during Prohibition. Today, visitors are invited to experience this historic site: relax on the terrace, browse the boutique, and enjoy free cider tastings while taking in views of the Vermont mountains and the heritage orchard. You can also take home discounted cases, including the “Trio” selection.
